LOCATIONS

Welcome to Pagan Restaurant, a culinary jewel nestled in the heart of San Francisco's Richmond District at 3199 Clement St. This eatery brilliantly fuses the rich flavors of Burmese and Thai cuisines, creating a menu that promises to take your palate on an unforgettable journey.

Pagan Restaurant stands out for its authentic offerings, particularly its aromatic Burmese soups. A must-try is the Moh Hinga, a comforting fish soup enriched with catfish, lemongrass, and a medley of herbs. For a tropical twist, opt for the Ong Noh Kaw Soi, a luscious coconut noodle soup that showcases tender chicken alongside fresh ingredients. If you crave something lighter, the Samusa Soup infused with lentils and cabbage will surely satisfy.

But the adventure doesn’t stop there; the restaurant's selection of salads is equally impressive. The Tea Leaf Salad is a fan favorite, made with imported Burmese tea leaves and an array of crunchy garnishes that create a delightful taste profile. Another standout is the Golden Tofu Salad, which pairs homemade tofu with savory elements like fried onions and ground shrimp, resulting in a perfect harmony of flavors.

As for appetizers, you can't go wrong with the Stuffed Tofu, a crispy yet tender delight filled with cabbage and spices. The Roti Palata served with potato chicken curry is another highlight, embodying the comforting essence of Burmese street food.

Many patrons have raved about their experiences at Pagan Restaurant. Aimee Wei notes that the duck fried rice is "fresh, tasty, and juicy," while David Huey describes the vibe as "chill" yet "cozy," with flavors that showcase careful thought and creativity in each dish.
